With Spring on it's way, I thought it would be the perfect time to share this beautiful country garden inspired bridal photoshoot on my blog. A collaboration between Ellie Lou Photography and Cornwall based dressmaker Ailsa Munro, this pretty pastel photoshoot brought together a group of fantastic wedding suppliers from across the South West. It's packed full of inspiration, ideas and suppliers, perfect for a country spring wedding!

VENUE
The photoshoot took place at the beautiful Barley Wood in North Somerset. Barley Wood is an 18th Century country house with 11 acres of woodland and parkland. It is an exclusive use wedding and private events venue with absolutely beautiful gardens and stylish interiors.
STYLING + SUPPLIERS
With a country garden theme, the styling included lots of greenery mixed with a soft pink and grey colour scheme to complement the two stunning dresses featured in the shoot, both by Ailsa Munro.
Ivory Dress | MERRYN | A beautiful ivory silk tulle draped wedding dress with cowl neckline and silk buttons behind the draped back
Grey Dress | ELIN | A soft and elegant silver grey silk wedding dress with chiffon skirt, scoop neckline (used without sleeves for the shoot but also available with elbow length sleeves)
Lace & Grace Bridal Boutique based in Bristol provided two beautiful veils to complement the two different styles, one ivory (worn with the ivory dress) and one pale blush (worn with the grey dress). They also provided a pair of elegant bridal shoes with hint of silver by Charlotte Mills.
We wanted to use a really natural and fresh look with hair and makeup for model Betsy, and our talented Hair and Makeup team - Becky Flynn (Makeup) and Louise Alway (Hairstylist) - both based in Somerset, created a beautiful, soft and classic bridal look.
Clifton based accessories designer Hermione Harbutt provided a set of classic “Starlight” pearl earrings and “Lily’ hairpins from her stunning bridal collection to finish the look.
We included splashes of silver and metallic in the styling and lots of greenery with the florals. Rustic Rentals – Vintage Event Prop Hire based just outside of Bristol supplied the props and decorations, including all of the candle holders, centrepieces, the vintage bike and vintage wooden shutters. Cotswold Vintage Party Hire provided the sparkling glassware and silverware and Lighthaus Events based in North Somerset provided a set of 5ft floral LOVE letters.
The bespoke fine art wedding stationery was created by Devon based designer Sophie White. The watercolour design was created especially for the shoot to match the floral designs and the country garden theme. Indulgence Chocolates located on Hill Road in Clevedon provided some traditional chocolates and wedding favours and the amazing buttercream cake with sugar flowers was created by Emma at Bake My Cake based in Bristol.
Emily at Daisy Lane Floral Design in North Somerset created the beautiful floral arrangements and designs, with David Austin roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus. The luxury silk ribbons for the bouquets, stationery and styling were supplied by Lancaster & Cornish.
Thank you so much to all of the wonderful wedding suppliers involved! To see more from the photoshoot, take a look at the features on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and Pasties & Petticoats.
